About Eastmont Custom Framing

The name Eastmont comes from the East of Easthampton, and the Mont of Montreux, owner Jean-Pierre Pasche’s hometown in Switzerland.

Jean-Pierre Pasche opened Eastmont Custom Framing in a converted gas station on Union St., Easthampton in the spring of 2001. Today, though, he's settled in the city's Old Town Hall and says the new location is a great place to be part of Easthampton's ever-growing arts scene

We are proud of the fact that Eastmont has established itself as a premier destination for custom framing in just a few years, and we like to think that the reason for this success is simply because we LOVE what we are doing!
But of course love alone does not explain this reputation. It couldn’t have happened without:

Respect: At Eastmont it is not just our customers that are treated with respect, but also the items they bring in to be framed. We understand that if you decide to bring an artwork to us, it means a lot to you. Whether it is an original artwork of a French impressionist or a local artist—a well-earned certificate or a Red Sox memorabilia—a wedding photograph or a family heirloom, we handle every item with the same care as if it was our own…

Experience: Jean-Pierre Pasche has been doing custom framing since 1987, gaining experience, frame after frame, from a wide range of artwork and an eclectic clientele, whether at the head of Cadre & Livre in Montreux Switzerland or here running Eastmont Custom Framing. This experience allows him and his staff to be comfortable in handling all (well, almost all..) framing designs and techniques.

Quality work: to ensure the best results Eastmont uses only first quality materials: moldings from reputable suppliers, almost exclusively rag or acid-free matboards and backing boards, UV filtering or museum quality glazing whenever requested and/or required.. We use all appropriate framing techniques and materials to make sure that the artwork is protected and preserved.

Creativity: The framing industry is an incredibly dynamic and creative one: following closely the changes and evolutions in art world and home decor, the manufacturers are constantly coming up with new designs , new textures, new colors, new styles. Eastmont's showroom reflects this creative energy well, boasting a collection of over 2000 moldings samples and several hundred matboards coming from over 20 different suppliers and 4 continents.

And last but not least: Cindy.
Cindy Bow has been with Eastmont since 2002. She was hired without prior trade experience and has grown to be an experienced framer. Her desire to learn and her dedication to quality craftsmanship has made a tremendous difference in how our business has been able to operate.
Thank you Cindy!
